Composting is simple ~ and simply makes sense! Morning session

The Brewster Ponds Coalition invites you to join BPC Business Partners Peter Jensen and Lynn Van Norman of Terra Firma Perma Gardens to learn about home composting and how easy it is to get started.  Participants will learn the simple ABCs of two systems: (1) how to compost your kitchen vegetable waste year-round, and (2) early summer lawn, leaf and yard waste composting. Through simple, low cost methods, you will be able to generate useful, nutrient-dense, soil-health enhancing garden compost without odor or attracting vermin. The answer lies in the chopped brown leaves held in reserve since last fall!!

The compost making instruction is about 90 minutes with many opportunities for hands on learning. There will be two sessions on Thursday, May 18th. Afterwards, anyone interested in a tour of the Terra Firma Perma Gardens hillside, roof and road runoff mitigation gardens is welcome to stay on afterwards for a 30-minute guided exploration. 

Join us at Terra Firma Perma Gardens, 155 Monument Road, Orleans, MA, Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 10 - 11:30 AM. Each session is limited to 20 people; admission is $10 per person, and includes a free raffle ticket for a kitchen compost unit. Additional raffle tickets will be available for sale at each session.
