Brewster Planning Projects: A Presentation by Jon Idman, Brewster's Director of Community Planning

Join the Brewster Ponds Coalition for a presentation by Jon Idman, the Town of Brewster's Director of Community Planning and Land Use Management. In this role, Jon also serves as the Town Planner and the Housing and Planning Office's representative on the Brewster Water Resource Task Force. His presentation will include an overview of his responsibilities as Brewster's Town Planner, current projects such as the recently updated Water Quality Protection District (WQPD) Bylaw and its proposed amendments, and a discussion of current and future Planning Department challenges and concerns. This event is free and open to the public, and will be held at the Brewster Ladies Library on Wednesday, March 12th, from 3:30 - 5 PM. There will be ample time for Jon to address questions and concerns.

Jon Idman Bio:

 Jon is Brewster's Director of Community Planning & Land Use Management, which Department includes the Town's Housing and Planning Offices, as well as Building and Inspectional Services. In this capacity, he serves, among other roles, as the Town Planner and the Planning Office's representative on the Brewster Water Resource Task Force. 

Jon's prior work experiences on the Cape include being the Director of Planning and Community Development for the Town of Harwich, the Chief Regulatory Officer at the Cape Cod Commission, and an attorney in private practice concentrating on land use and general real estate matters. 

Jon is a Harwich native and currently resides there with his family. He proudly serves as a Trustee of the Harwich Conservation Trust.
